Naveh, which was originally the Gush Katif community of Atzmona, is a community located in a beautiful area of the country; the landscape reminds one of Gush Katif (though without the sea). As it is in the Halutza sands, it is not even far from Gush Katif. The community numbers some 130 families, some 900 people. The community has various institutions: a day care, kindergartens, a school for girls, a Talmud Torah, a Yeshiva (religious high school for boys), an Ulpena (religious high school for girls), a mechina “Otzem” (pre-military academy), and a high school Yeshiva.  Naveh is situated appx 9 kms from the border with the Gaza Strip and unders 4 kms from the Egyptian border.

Name of the Community: Naveh

About this Art Shelter:

“Kol Ha’Olam Kulo” (Hebrew: כל העולם כולו, lit. ’The Whole Entire World’) is a Hebrew language song by Orthodox Jewish rabbi Baruch Chait adapted from the epigram attributed to the Hasidic rabbi Nachman of Breslov, “The whole entire world is a very narrow bridge and the main thing is to have no fear at all” (Hebrew: כל העולם כולו גשר צר מאוד והעיקר לא לפחד כלל). Israeli singer Ofra Haza also performed a popular version of the song. The lyrics are based on an excerpt from Likutei Moharan II #48
